About DAS
Dynamic Animation Systems, Inc. (DAS) was founded in 1995 to develop distributed, interactive, and immersive applications for defense, training, and entertainment markets. Today we have two main divisions: Government Services and Commercial Products.
Government Services Division
The DAS Government Services division encompasses assets from both our McLean, VA, and Orlando, FL facilities. The Services team is comprised of PhD’s in Computer Science and Mathematics; Systems and Software engineers; and Integration and Test engineers with broad experience relevant to modeling and simulation in both the engineering analysis and training domains. Our Services team’s core competencies include Systems Engineering and Architectures, Software Research and Development, Software Tool development, Interoperability, and Integration and Test associated with Modeling, Simulation, and Training Systems. Our Orlando team primarily executes research and development (R&D) projects in support of the US Army Research Laboratory’s (ARL) Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC) in Orlando, FL. Our Virginia personnel also support STTC projects, we also execute services projects in support of the US Naval Surface Warfare Center in Carderock, MD. Additionally, DAS has several IDIQ vehicle awards for services including both the Full and Open Lot and Small Business Set-aside Lot of the PEO STRI STOC II contract, and zones 2 and 4 of the Navy’s SEAPORT-E contract.

Commercial Products Division
The DAS Commercial Products division develops, manufactures, deploys, updates, repairs and supports our technologies in the commercial space. We provide a wide range of training and entertainment products and venues to a variety of organizations, from large military training sites, including international, (NJ National Guard STTDC at Fort Dix, NJ; multiple Virginia National Guard sites, SEDENA SAV in Temamatla, Mexico, and Swiftships Boat Trainer deployed in Iraq), law enforcement training sites (Golden West College, CA), and entertainment venues (Orlando, FL). The leadership of the division is primarily game industry veterans who have developed a number of published titles (World at War, Close Combat, Squad Assault, Circus Maximus) and understand what it takes to bring a product to market and support it in the commercial retail marketplace. Division personnel are hardware and software engineers, 3D artists, quality assurance, and manufacturing professionals.
DAS's products encompass the Virtual Interactive Combat Environment (VICE) and the Force Immersive Reality Environment (FIRE) Range, and the FIRE Tactical Training Center (FIRE Range).
